Autonomy Fitness is a body positive personal training service dedicated to empowering you to feel your best in your body, according to your own terms. Autonomy offers you support in gaining strength, power, endurance and confidence, while leaving diet talk, fatphobia, transphobia, and eurocentric body standards at the door.
Autonomy welcomes and centers the participation of Indigenous people, Black people, People of colour, queer fam, gender binary breakers, radicals, and beyond- in any shape and at every size.
Your body is yours; no one can take away your autonomy.

Meet Your Trainer
Ruby Smith Díaz was born to Chilean and Jamaican parents in amiskwaciy (Edmonton) and graduated from the University of Alberta with a degree in Education with distinction.
Ruby is a certified personal training specialist through Canfitpro, and a fitness instructor specialist through Canfitpro. She is also a Certified Trauma Informed Weight Lifting Coach, and a certified Size Inclusive Trainer.
She is the winner of the 2020 Canfitpro Personal Training Specialist of the Year Award. She hopes to utilize her own journey through battling body shame and chronic pain to support others in becoming the most fullest and powerful selves through bringing movement into their bodies.
